William Wire

William James Wire, Age 86, at rest on January 26, 2023. Bill was a Veteran in the United States Army serving as a Paratrooper in the 101st Airborne Division. Devoted husband of 61 years to Florence (nee Rigoni). Beloved son of the late Raymond and the late Ethel Wire. Beloved son-in-law of the late Fortunata (Giovannina) and the late Romolo Pierotti. Dear brother-in-law of Roland and Diane Pierotti, the late Laura Rigoni and the late Lino and Lillian Pierotti. Cherished uncle of Laura Lee (Andrew) DeNovo, Robert (Deborah) Pierotti, Dino (Gayle) Pierotti, Tony (Mary) Pierotti, Nick (Kristen) Pierotti, and Denise (John) Tsiveriotis. Loving uncle of 17 great nieces and great nephews and 22 great-great nieces and great- great nephews. Bill was an Administrator of SEIU Local #4 Health and Welfare Fund and Member of SEIU International Union Local #1. Bill was also a Supreme Past Regent of Royal Arcanum, Past Officer of Maroons Soccer Club, Mazzini-Verdi Club, Veneti nel Mondo, and the Chicago Accordion Club. Visitation will take place on Monday, January 30, 2023 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. Funeral Tuesday, beginning at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. and will then proceed to Our Lady Mother of the Church for 10:30 a.m. Mass. Interment will follow at Queen Of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
