Honorable William F. Ward, Jr. 'Bill', 77; Devoted and loving husband of 45 years to Judith Becker Ward; Loving father of Jessica (Dave) Felice, William (Jennifer) Ward, III and Kate (Tait) Jorgensen; Proud grandpa of Liam, Ryan, Connor and Molly Felice, Wilder Ward and Brooks and Phoebe Jorgensen; Son of the late William Ward, Sr. C.P.D. and the late Gertrude Connors Ward; Dear brother of Mary Ward Kenny and uncle to her many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bill was a former priest with the Archdiocese of Chicago, former chaplain (Lt. USNR CHC), former Cook County Assistant State's Attorney, former Circuit Court Judge, State of Illinois, Cook County, former Associate Professor at John Marshall Law School and he was a former member of Immaculate Conception Parish Council. He was a lifelong White Sox fan, holding season tickets for 24 years and a lifelong Notre Dame football fan, attending his first game in 1947. To know Bill was to know love of family, love of church and limitless generosity...and to know his kids and grandkids as he never stopped bragging about us. As much as he loved us, we loved him even more. We'll miss you. Visitation will be Sunday April 3rd from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Funeral service begins Monday at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home proceeding to Immaculate Conception Church for 10:00 a.m. Mass. Interment to follow at Maryhill Cemetery.
