William O. Schlau Jr., U.S. Navy Veteran WWII, U.S.S. Austin DE-15. Beloved husband of Mary, nee Poulos, for 58 wonderful years; loving father of William A. (Shari) and Michael R. (Denise Fiance') Schlau, Elizabeth C. (Bill) Schuh and Steven P. Schlau; cherished grandfather of Andrew W. Schuh, Brittany N. Schlau, Alex V. Schuh, William A. Schlau Jr. and Nicole E. Schuh; dear brother of Helen Maher and the late Anita Ricker; fond uncle of many. Bill was a member of N.I.D.E.S.A. and V.F.W. Post 4600 McHenry, IL. In lieu of flowers donations to: Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind. Visitation Tuesday from 3:00p.m. until 9:00p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, 10:00a.m. at the funeral home, and will proceed to St. Eugene Church for Mass at 11:00a.m. Interment will be at Irving Park Cemetery.
