William A. Hanhardt, age 88, Captain C.P.D. retired, passed away on December 30, 2016. William was the beloved husband of Angelina 'Angie', nee Morici; dearest son of the late Sarah, nee DiGilio, and the late Edward Hanhardt; loving father of Shari (Michael) Kertez, Candice, Sara (Anthony), Joene, Billie (Robert), Angela 'Angel' (Joel) Levin and Edward (Kathlene); cherished grandfather of Angela (the late William), William (Jenifer), Annamarie (Carlos), Daniel (Katie), Jeffrey C.P.D. (Krysten), Kristina (Christopher), Katy (Michael), Camille, Anton, Matthew, Justin, Sarah, Michael, Matthias, Nicholas, Angelia, William, Jennifer and the late Anthony; great-grandfather of 20, dear brother of the late Marie (Vito) Gobbo and Edward (Kay) Hanhardt and brother-in-law of the late Christopher, the late Jennie (the late Oscar), the late August, the late Rosemary (the late Edward), the late Samuel (Rita), the late Frank, the late James (Vivian) and the late Joseph (Carol); fond uncle of many. Visitation will be Monday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral Services will begin Tuesday 10:30 a.m., at the funeral home, and will then proceed to St. Juliana Church for Mass 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
