William Defrance

William "Bill" DeFrance, age 73, at rest on July 2, 2022. Bill was a retired Chicago Police Officer and a Veteran in the United States Marine Corp. Beloved husband of Gail (nee Steel). Loving father of Elizabeth Snyder, William J. DeFrance and Rachel DeFrance. Beloved son of the late Ruth and the late William. Fond grandfather of Samantha Swartz, Evan Swartz, John McDonagh and Isabel McDonagh. Dear brother of RuthAnn (Roger) Hoeffleur, Barbara (the late Jerry) Dziwlik, Carol (Mike) Raimondi, Rita (Wayne) Mohr and the late Kathleen (the late John) Johnson. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm and Friday from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 11:00 am at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. Interment will follow at Irving Park Cemetery in Chicago.
