William Bednarek

William J. "Bill" Bednarek, age 74, U.S. Army Veteran, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2020. Bill was the loving husband of the late Donna, nee Corrigan; beloved father of Gregory A. (Annette), Glen A. (Jennifer Halperin) and the late John Moore; dearest son of the late Jean and John Bednarek; cherished grandfather of Adam Schmidt, Timothy (Marie) Moore, Erica Pierluissi, Chelsea and Delaney Moore; great grandfather of Madden, Jolissa, Cristiano and Gracie; dear brother of Barbara (the late Rich) Huffman, and a fond uncle of many. Visitation Thursday, November 19, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, at the funeral home, and will then proceed to St. Monica Church in Chicago for an 11:30 a.m. funeral mass. The interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in River Grove. Due to the current health guidelines, we are limited to 25 attendees at a time. We kindly ask that you quickly exit the funeral home after paying your respects to the family so that all visitors have an opportunity to enter. Please wear masks and use proper social distancing.
