Wanda Zubik, nee Rukscinski, age 88, passed away surrounded by her loving family on February 15, 2025. Wanda was the beloved wife of Eugene for 66 wonderful years; loving mother of Theresa (Martin) Biernat, John (Sandy) Zubik and Thomas (Michelle) Zubik; dear daughter of the late Bernice and Victor Rukscinski; cherished grandmother of Stephanie (Tony) Bazile, Daniel (Kristen Riordan) Biernat, Matthew Zubik, Joshua (fiance' Maggie Gehrlein), Michael (Jenny Begich) Zubik, Rachel (fiance' Chris Trojanowski), Ethan and Aaron Zubik; great grandmother of Anthony Bazile; dear sister of Joan (the late Louis) Jurek and Diane Rukscinski, and she was a fond aunt of many.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Lurie Children's Hospital are appreciated.
Visitation Tuesday, February 18, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home, and the interment will be private. For more information call (708)456-8300.
