Walter Klingenberg, age 91, at rest on June 14, 2023. Beloved husband of Elisabeth (Schoenewald) for 70 years. Loving father of Edwin (Marina) Klingenberg and Linda (Frank) Abbadi. Dear grandfather of Carrie (Timothy) Van Nes, Laura (Parker) Johnson, Jennifer (Adam) Keown, Mark Gagliano and Tracy Gagliano. Great grandfather of 12. Dear brother of Anneliese (the late Donald) Howton, the late Jakob (Janell) Klingenberg, the late Heinz (the late Barbara) Klingenberg and the late Erwin (Irmgard) Klingenberg. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place on Monday, June 19, 2023 from 9:00 am until time of Funeral Service at 11:00 am at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Illinois. Interment will follow at Irving Park Cemetery at the graveside. In Lieu of flowers, donations in Walter's name can be made to the Central Baptist Village Home for Life Fund.
