Walter J. "Wally" Ergish, age 80, U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam and U.S. Navy Reservist passed away at home surrounded by his loving family on February 27, 2025. Wally was the beloved husband of Patricia A. (nee Cioffi) for 55 wonderful years; loving father of Jeffrey J. (Lori) Ergish and Jennifer A. (Martin) Staunton; dearest son of the late Harriett and Donald Ergish; cherished grandfather of Gabriella, Nicholas, Lilly, Giuliana and Martin, Jr.; dear brother of Steven (Daisy), Thomas, Dennis (the late Sandy), Jack (Diane) and David (Cindy) Ergish, Donna (Greg) Kuhn and the late William (Sue) Ergish, and brother in law of Judith (Stanley) Zembowski, Sharon (Bruce) Kamp, Blanche Ergish and the late Anthony (Gloria) Cioffi.

Wally was a member of the Niles Memorial VFW Post #3579, he was a frequent volunteer with the USO and was recently invited to be an Honor Flight Recipient.

Memorial Visitation Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 8:30 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. Memorial Service at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. All Services will conclude following the memorial service and the interment will be private. For more information call (708)456-8300.
