Walter Bijak

Walter Bijak, 92, passed away July 24, 2023. Visitation will be Thursday, July 27, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W Lawrence Ave, Norridge. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Entombment will follow at Acacia Park Cemetery.
Walter was born December 13, 1930, in Poland the son of Ludwik and Anna Bijak. He married Genevieve (Bialo). Together they celebrated 66 wonderful years of marriage and raised two daughters, Diane, and Christina.
Walter was a talented electrician who worked all over the city of Chicago. He was a member of Local 134 IBEW for over 55 years. Walter was loved by all he met; the joy of his life was spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Genevieve; daughters Diane (Michael) Rehak, Christina (Peter) Martire; grandchildren Justine, Jeannie, Jack; brother Casey Bijak; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jozef, Bruno, Ludwik, and Edward.
