Vittorio Antonio Verrecchia, 49, of Norridge, Illinois, died peacefully at his home. He is preceded in death by his father Vittorio, whom he adored. He is survived by his beloved mother, Rosina (nee Izzi) and his loving sisters, Carmina (Domenico) Ciccone and Emilia (David) Scott. He was the dear uncle of Mary Rose (Christian) Giacalone and Dina (David) Andrejek and great uncle to Olimpia, godson Dominic, Christian and Danielle. He will be missed by his many cousins, friends and colleagues. All who knew him will remember his kind and thoughtful nature.
Victor, as he was known to all, was committed to his family and took great joy in participating in their many gatherings, both large and small. He was very proud of his Italian heritage and enjoyed planting a garden in the spring, harvesting fresh produce all summer, and making wine and sausage in the autumn. Victor was always curious to try hobbies and took pleasure in the simple pastimes of everyday life, including work. Victor will be missed for his infectious smile, love of old western movies, playing bocce, a readiness to go to a game with a friend or grand-nephew, and his quiet, but deep faith.
