Vito Guarino

On February 7th, 2026, Vito D. Guarino (63) passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side.

Vito was born in Albano di Lucania, Italy on June 10th, 1962. He and his family immigrated to Norridge, IL in 1970 where he led a wonderful childhood alongside his cousins and siblings.

Vito was always the hardest worker in the room. As a young boy, Vito was extremely proud of his paper route and loved going to work with his Uncle Vito, from whom he inherited his entrepreneurial spirit. That sparked Vito to start his own business in the granite and marble industry for decades to come. Vito brought his creativity, drive, and passion to every endeavor he led.

When Vito first met the love of his life, Lucrezia, he immediately told his best friend Mimmo that she would be the woman he would marry. Like anything Vito set his mind to, he and Lucrezia wed in 1983 and were blessed with the birth of their twins, Rocco and Valentina in 1996. The four of them lived a full life together, spending time traveling to Italy, cooking together, cultivating their garden, laughing together, and turning the most mundane moments into something special. They remained steadfast for one another – remaining united through life’s most beautiful moments, and more importantly, through life’s most challenging ones.

Vito was the beloved son of the late Rocco and Donata Guarino. Beloved husband of Lucrezia Guarino. Dear father of Rocco (Cristina) Guarino and Valentina (Michael) Guarino-Tardi. Dear brother of Mike (Marie) Guarino, Maria (Luigi) Ciarfaglia, and Carmine (Evelyn) Guarino. Dear son-in-law of Lucia and the late Vittorio Guida. Cherished uncle, cousin, leader, and friend to many.

There will never be another Vito Guarino. He will be deeply loved, missed, and remembered forever.

Visitation for Vito will take place on Friday, February 13, 2026 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm and then on Saturday, from 10:30 am until time of funeral service at 11:30 am at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Illinois. Interment will be private to family.
