Vito Fellino

It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of our beloved father, Vito, who left us on August 7, 2024 at the age of 80. Surrounded by his loving family in his final moments, he was a man of immense dignity and infinite wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones. His passion for his family and his unwavering pride of his hometown will forever be remembered.
Vito Fellino, born on May 26, 1944 to Onofrio and Antonina (nee Graziano) Fellino, the first born of four children in Ciminna, Sicily.
In 1970, Vito married the love of his life, Caterina Catalano. Together, they embarked on a journey of love, partnership and family welcoming four children. Through determination and hard work they created a beautiful life. Vito held many titles in his life, from bricklayer to business owner, but the role as a father he cherished above all.
Predeceased by his parents and brother Salvatore, Vito’s memory will forever be held in the hearts of his surviving family: his wife, Caterina (nee Catalano); their children, Onofrio (Francesca), Franco (Rachel) Fellino, Antonina Fellino (John Rudolph) and Vittoria Fellino (Steven Brattin); his grandchildren Vito, Steven, Caterina, Franco, Tiffany, Gianna, Isabella, Vito Phillip, and Vito Onofrio as well as great-grandchildren Adriana and Luca, his sister, Angelina, brother Nunzio ; many cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends will all continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
To honor Vito’s memory, a visitation will be held in his honor at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL 60706, on Sunday, August 11, 2024 from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral Monday August 12, 2024, Family and Friends are asked to meet at the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Marian Chapel, 1170 N. River Rd., Des Plaines, IL 60016 for Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Entombment All Saints Cemetery, Immaculate Heart of Mary Mausoleum.
