Virginia Martin

Virginia Martin, nee Fifielski, age 99, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on December 29, 2024. Virginia was the beloved wife of the late Bennie; loving mother of Larry (Gloria), Garry (Karen), Ricky (Laura), Randy (Margaret) and Wayne (Susan) Martin; dear daughter of the late Cecelia and Aloyzis Fifielski; cherished grandmother of Tom (Katrina) Martin, Michelle Neubauer, Bob (Lisa) Martin, Julie (Dan) Morrell, Scott (Kaleen), Michael (Heather), Matthew (Brittanie), Timothy, Jacob and Andrew Martin, Nicole (Nicholas) Montgomery, Russell Martin and Melissa (Ben) Wiest; great grandmother of 21; dear sister of the late Gene (Nancy) Fifielski and the late Shirley (the late Frank) Giambalvo, and a fond aunt of many.

In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or your favorite charity.

Visitation Friday, January 3, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL.  We will then proceed to St. Eugene Church for Mass at 11:00 a.m., and the interment will follow at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles. For more information call (708)456-8300.
