Virginia Bongiorno-Lawrence

Virginia Bongiorno-Lawrence (nee Cholowicki), age 94, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026. Virginia was the beloved wife of Leigh Lawrence for 37 wonderful years; loving mother of John (Tracy), Tom (Mary Jo) and Anthony Bongiorno; dear daughter of the late Sophia and Paul Cholowicki; cherished grandmother of Anthony (Deirdre), Joe and Gabriella Bongiorno; proud great grandmother of Serafina and Ray; dearest sister of the late Jane (the late Chester) Ptak and the late Evelyn Cholowicki, and a fond aunt of many.

Visitation Wednesday, June 24, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Eugene Church 7958 W. Lawrence Ave., Chicago. The entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum in Des Plaines.
