Vincent Lazara of Park Ridge, passed away peacefully at home on May 17, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. Vincent was the beloved husband of the late Sarah Lazara (nee Consiglio) for 67 wonderful years; loving father of Joseph (Diane) LaZara and Dominic (Shannon Heilman) Lazara; cherished Nonno of Ryan and Katrina LaZara and Andrew and Aaron Lazara. Dear son of the late Anna and Giuseppe LaZara; dearest brother of the late Anna, Pasquale, and Stefano. Fond uncle and dear friend to many, both here and in Italy.
Vincent was born in Siculiana, Italy where he spent his early years working alongside his father and brothers in the family agriculture business. At the age of 28, he married his love, Sarah, in Italy before immigrating to the United States to begin their new chapter together. They settled in Chicago, where he built a beautiful life for their family. Vincent and Sarah were able to achieve the American dream, teaching their children and grandchildren that with hard work and dedication you could make anything possible.
Vincent was known for his kindness, integrity and unwavering devotion to his family and friends. He enjoyed tending his garden and traveling. After retirement, he and Sarah enjoyed spending their winters in Venice, Florida. His greatest joy was the time spent with his children, grandchildren and dear friends.
Vincent will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
