Thomas Herkes

Thomas J. Herkes, age 83, United States Navy Veteran, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2024. Thomas was the beloved husband of the late Jeanette, nee Kenar and the late JoAnn, nee Livek; loving father of Michael T. (Lisa) Herkes and Cheryl A. Westman; dearest son of the late Catherine and Franz Herkes; cherished grandfather of James Westman and Daniel Herkes; dear brother of Frank (Jeanette), Christine and the late Henry (the late Elizabeth) Herkes and brother in law of the late Mary Herkes; fond uncle and cousin of many.



Tom was a longtime member of the Knight's of Columbus. In lieu of flowers, donations to The American Heart Association www.heart.org or American Cancer Society donate.cancer.org would be appreciated.



Visitation Thursday, April 4, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, and then proceed to Our Lady, Mother of the Church for Mass at 10:00 a.m. The entombment will follow at St. Adalbert Mausoleum in Niles.
