Tadeusz “Tadek” Kozka, age 84, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026. Tadek was born on November 14, 1941, in Wietrzychowice, Poland, to the late Stefan and Maria (nee Mikina) Kozka.
Tadek was the beloved husband of Zofia (nee Klimek), and they shared 60 wonderful years of marriage. Loving father of Yola (John) Kulach, Chris (Maggie) Kozka, and the late Mark Kozka and the late Dorotka Kozka. Dearest grandfather of Natalie (Mike) Hicks, Nicole (Patrick) O’Brien, Cassandra Kozka and Daniella Kozka. Proud great-grandfather of Aiden and Gavin O’Brien. Fond brother of Jan (the late Elzbieta) Kozka and Barbara (Wladyslaw) Mleczko. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Tadek loved his family dearly and treasured the time he spent with them. He especially cherished his grandchildren and held each of them close to his heart. Tadek also loved spending time at his summer home in Muscoda, Wisconsin, where he enjoyed working with his hands, staying busy, and taking pride in all that he could accomplish. He was a hardworking and devoted man who found joy in family, simple pleasures, and keeping active.
Tadek will be deeply missed by his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His love, kindness, and devotion to his family will remain in their hearts and his memory will be cherished for generations to come.

Visitation for Tadek will take place on Sunday, October 4, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, Illinois. The funeral will begin on Monday at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home and proceed to St. Rosalie Church in Harwood Heights for a 10:00 a.m. Mass. Interment will follow at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, Illinois.
