Susanne Stitt

Susanne "Evie" Stitt, nee Sotirakopulos, age 74, passed away surrounded by family on January 27, 2025. Susanne was the beloved wife of James Peters for 53 wonderful years;  loving mother of Christina Lee (Scott) Valencik, James Peters IV (Elaina) Stitt and Stephanie Marie Stitt; dearest daughter of the late Nota and Christopher Sotirakopulos; cherished grandmother of Zachary Valencik, Alexandra (Daniel H. Ruoff) Valencik, Anthony Marcelino Maldonado, James Peters Stitt V, Liliana Joy Stitt, Vincent Michael Stitt and Nicholas Frank Stitt; dear sister of Steven Sotirakopulos, Christine Belsan and the late Maria (George) Zuganelis, and she was a fond aunt and friend of many.

Visitation Monday, February 3, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge.   Funeral Services begin at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, at the Funeral Home, and then proceed to St. Giles Church in Oak Park for Mass at 10:00 a.m.  The Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove. In Lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital http://stjude.org or Shriner's Children's Hospital, http://shrinerschildrens.org , would be appreciated.
