Stella Schaller

Stella Schaller nee Lykowski, caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away on June 8, 2022, at age 95. Beloved wife of the late Donald Schaller; loving daughter of the late Stephen and Mary Lykowski nee Kozlowski; beloved mother of the late Lynn Schaller, Leslie (Kirk) Dakarian, and Karen (Peter) Daboll; fond grandmother of Craig (Carissa) Knoche, Kevan (Abbey) Knoche, Kelly (Brian McGuckin) Dakarian, Amanda Dakarian, Morgan Dakarian, Giverny Daboll, Michael Daboll, and step-grandson Cameron (Emma) Daboll; loving great grandmother of Thomas, Madelyn, and Andrew; beloved sister of the late Sophie Bazyk, Chester Lykowski, Joseph Lykowski, Alexander Lykowski, Sylvester Lykowski, Sigmund Lykowski, and Walter Lykowski.

Simple pleasures in life brought great joy to Stella. Lover of travel, spending time with family, eating her favorite pasta, and enjoying a glass of good wine, she was a woman of strong will, with a sharp mind and a funny sense of humor. Stella taught everyone around her to not be afraid to ask questions or speak up to get what you want…even if it was only for a booth at a restaurant, instead of a table.

Visitation for Stella will be Monday, June 13, 2022 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. at Cumberland Chapels at 8300 W. Lawrence Ave Norridge, IL 60706. Funeral Services begin Monday at 11:00 am at the funeral home and will proceed to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for Mass at 11:30 am. Interment to follow at Maryhill Cemetery.
