Stefania "Stephanie" Positano, nee Markowsky, age 73, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2022, with her family by her side. Stefania is the beloved wife of Peter J., Sr., for 42 wonderful years; loving mother of Denise "Dee Dee" (Larry Scimeca) Gross and Peter J. Positano, Jr.; dearest daughter of the late Tekla and John Markowsky; cherished Baba of Anthony, Adam and Alec Andras and former mother in law of Gregory Andras; dear sister of Sofia (the late Leonard) Solomon, Anna (Louis) Pranno and Mary (Michael) Gnagni; fond aunt of many. Visitation Friday, November 4, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home, and then proceed to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral in Chicago for a 10:00 a.m. Service, and the entombment will follow at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Mausoleum.
