Sigrid Aina Brynjolfsson

Sigrid Aina Brynjolfsson, passed away in the comfort of her home of 70 years on June 27, 2026. We were fortunate and blessed to have celebrated her 100th birthday on February 22 of this year, a remarkable milestone.

Sigrid was the beloved wife of the late Dr. Gissur Brynjolfsson; loving mother of Ingrid (John, M.D.) LoGiudice, Jon (Lucia Misantoni) Brynjolfsson and Nina (John) Fahey; dear grandmother of John (Lisa Sienkiewicz, M.D.) LoGiudice, M.D., Peter (Lisa) LoGiudice, Anthony (Jessica Hanley, M.D.) LoGiudice, M.D., Erik (Lindsay Saunders) Brynjolfsson, Karl Brynjolfsson, Marisa Brynjolfsson, Blaine (Bryndl) Fahey, Annelise (Fabian) Ratulowski and Conor Fahey: great-grandmother of 12.

Visitation will take place Wednesday July 1st from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge. Funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Skokie.
