Sidney Young

Sidney Wayne Young, age 73, passed away peacefully on March 25, 2025 surrounded by his family. Sidney was the beloved husband of the late Kristine "Kris" (nee Saganiuk); loving father of Robert W. (Melanie), Brian M. (Cheryl), Bradly E. and Bridget A. Young; dear son of the late Bernice (nee Moser) and the late Sidney E. Young; cherished grandfather of Maxwell A. and Sidney K. Young; dear brother of Dianne (the late Paul) Syring and Cloess "Cookie" Breuckman, and he was a fond uncle of many. He also had many cherished friends he and Kristine considered family. Sidney was a former member of the board of directors at River Bend Resort. He worked for Northwest Town Refrigeration for many years and was a Union member. He was an avid reader, loved Sci Fi shows and movies, camping and his family.

Visitation Sunday, April 6, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday,  April 7,  2025, at the funeral home, and will proceed to St. Eugene Church for Mass at 10:30 a.m. The interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
