Sebastiano Claudio "Nello" Gallo

Sebastiano Claudio "Nello" Gallo, age 60, passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025. Sebastian was the beloved husband of Nancy (nee Sundmacker); loving father of Sebastiano "Sammy" Gallo; dear son of Teresa (nee Matarazzo) and the late Sebastiano “Sam” Gallo; dear brother of Maria Tina (Luigi) Scola and Alice (Salvatore) DiPaola, and brother in law of David and Thomas Sundmacker, Susan (Mario) Miranda and the late Paul Sundmacker; dearest uncle of Giuliano, Bianca, Priscilla and Lucia Scola, Pietro “Peter” DiPaola, as well as Marissa, and Mario “Poppy” Miranda; caring owner of his ever cherished dogs Cocoa and Lucy.

Sebastian loved and was dedicated to his work, as he was loyally employed by Grainger for 31 years; he adored the sport of baseball, his favorite team being the Cubs, and proudly coached his son for over 12 years; he was strong willed and a fighter to the very end, now he is out of pain and at peace with god.

Visitation Monday, October 20, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral Tuesday, friends and family will meet at St. Paul the Apostle Church 6401 Gages Ave., Gurnee, IL. for Visitation at 9:00 a.m. followed by Mass at 10:00 a.m. The interment will follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside.
