Sean 'John' Cooney, 78, passed away November 18, 2020. Born in Inishbearacain, Lettermore, County Galway, Ireland. Beloved husband of Kathleen for 54 wonderful years. Loving father of John, Barbara, Naureen (Steve) and Tommy (Leslie). Beloved son of the late Thomas and Barbara. Loving dado of Dylan and Colin. Dear brother of Bridget, James (Mary), Nan (Sean), Tom (Nora), Pegga (Sean), Baba (the late Michael), the late Michael, Nora, Patrick, Morgan, Mary, Kate, and Joe. Fond uncle of many. Visitation will be Monday, November 23, at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, Chicago, from 9:30 a.,m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment Maryhill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
