Sarah Lazara (nee Consiglio) of Park Ridge, passed away on August 26, 2024 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Vincent Lazara for 67 years. Loving mother of Joseph (Diane) LaZara and Dominic (Shannon Heilman) Lazara. Beloved daughter of the late Domenico and Lorenza Consiglio. Loving Nonna of Ryan and Katrina LaZara and Andrew and Aaron Lazara. Fond aunt and dear friend to many both here and in Italy.
Sarah was born in Siculiana, Italy and came to this country at the early age of 18. She made a wonderful life for herself and her family, eventually moving to Chicago. Sarah was known for her kindness, integrity, and unwavering commitment to her family and friends. She enjoyed being with her loved ones, inviting company over for many homemade Italian dishes for dinner and cookies for dessert. She enjoyed traveling, and spending her winters in Florida with her husband and many friends. She had been a member of her church’s women’s group and the Italian Club in Venice, FL.
Sarah's love and warmth will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
