Santo Scafidi, age 80, Passed away on August 29, 2025. Santo was born on May 8, 1945 in Altavilla Milicia in the Metropolitan City of Palermo, in the Italian region of Sicily, to the late Antonino and the late Rosaria (nee Faso) Scafidi. Beloved husband of Sylvia (nee Steinmann) for 50 years. Devoted Papa to twin daughters Rose and Michelle (Alex) and daughter Melissa. Proud Nonno of Brian, Christopher, Clare and Kevin. Santo was the eldest of five siblings. Son-in-law of the late Emil Steinmann and the late Frieda (nee Rutimann) Steinmann. Santo will be remembered as an exceptionally hard working, dedicated family man.
Visitation for Santo will take place on Wednesday, September 3, 2025 from 9:00 am until 10:30 am at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. The funeral will then proceed to St. Priscilla Church in Chicago for 11:00 am Mass. Interment will follow at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, Il.
