Salvatore Modica

Salvatore G. Modica, age 90, passed away peacefully on November 21, 2023. Salvatore was the beloved husband of Rosa, nee Martorana, for 66 wonderful years; loving father of Francesca (Michael) Lipsey, Benedetto (Jennifer) Modica and Josephine Maria (Joseph) Perrine; dearest son of the late Francesca and Benedetto Modica; cherished grandfather of Michael Jr. (Lauren), Joseph (Paige) and Jonathan (Calli Filpovich) Lipsey, Vincenzo, Josephine (Mario Hanna) and Salvatore (Megan) and the late Angelo Evola; great grandfather of Luke, Giovanni, Elliana, Luna, Mark, Dominic, Skyla and Luke; dearest brother of Francesco (Late Rosa), Giacomino (Angela) and Antonino (Caterina) Modica, Margherita (the late Vito) Portuese, Maria (Vincenzo) LoBuono, the late Benedetto (Fara) and the late Loreto Modica; fond uncle of many.



Salvatore's family meant the world to him, and he especially enjoyed being around his grandchildren and enjoying their sporting events. He loved to play Bocce Ball and Soccer.



Visitation Friday, November 24, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home, and will then proceed to St. Eugene Church (Queen of Peace Parish) in Chicago for Mass at 12:00 p.m. The entombment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum in Des Plaines.
