Salvatore Longo

Salvatore "Sal" Longo, age 91, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2025. Sal is the beloved husband of Giuseppina (nee Calabrese) for 66 wonderful years; loving father of Rosalia "Rose" (Thomas W., Jr.) Mader, Giuseppe "Pep" (Irene) and Luigi "Lou" (Laura) Longo; dear son of the late Maria (nee Patti) and the late Giuseppe Longo; proud "papa Toto" to Thomas W. III, Anthony and Jennifer Rose Mader, Salvatore, Stefanie, Hannah, Joseph, and the late Nicolas Longo and Victoria Marie, Eric Luigi, Elizabeth Gertrude, Noah Lee and Billy Joe Longo; great grandfather of Eloise Noel and Luna Josephine Longo; dear brother of Rose (the late Vito) Cirone and the late Rocco (the late Christine) and the late Anthony Longo, and.he was a fond uncle of many.

Salvatore was a member of the Santa Caterina Club in Chicago.

Visitation Friday, May 16, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home, and then proceed to St. Ferdinand Church in Chicago for Mass at 10:00 a.m. The entombment will follow at St. Joseph Mausoleum in River Grove.
