Salvatore Colombo

Salvatore Colombo, age 84, passed away peacefully on September 26, 2023. Salvatore was the beloved husband of the late Dorotea, nee Greco; loving father of Domenico (Michelle) and Vincenzo (Donna) Colombo, Nancy (Kevin) Karbowski and the late Robert Colombo; dearest son of the late Nunzia, nee Chiovari, and Domenico Colombo; cherished grandfather of Danielle (Colin) Hershey, Jessica Owca, Timothy (Nadia) Dolgach, Nico (Ashley Rodgers) Colombo, Enza (Daniel) Kaput, Kayla, Nathaniel and Lilliana Karbowski; big nonno of Sophia and Luca; dear brother of Rita (William) Ioratti and the late Giovanna Canepa, Vincenzo and Antonio Colombo; fond uncle of many.



Visitation Sunday, October 1, 2023, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, at the funeral home, and will then proceed to Queen of Peace Parish (St. Eugene Church) 7958 W. Foster Ave., Chicago, for Mass at 10:30 a.m. The entombment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, IL. For more information call (708)456-8300.
