Salvatore “Sam” Badali, age 89, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2026. Sam was born on June 14, 1936 in Campofelice di Roccella, Sicily, Italy. He was the loving son of the late Frank Badali and the late Agata Messina. He immigrated to the United States in 1971 in search of a better life and greater opportunities for his family.
Sam was a hardworking farmer in Italy, where he proudly cultivated artichokes. His love for gardening continued throughout his life, and he took great joy in growing eggplants, tomatoes, zucchini, and many other vegetables. Sam found happiness in working the soil and sharing the fruits of his labor with family and friends.
Beloved husband of Leonarda “Lee” Brigagliano for 32 wonderful years and formerly married to the late Rosalia (nee Cimo). Cherished father of Frank Badali. Fond brother-in-law of Anthony (Camille) Brigagliano. Loving uncle of Andrea (Josh) Sumner, Nicholas (Marta) Brigagliano, Frank (Jenny) Badali, and Agata (Frank) Carolla. Dear great-uncle to many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Sam will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his devotion to family, and the pride he took in caring for his garden and loved ones. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
