Beloved son of the late Joseph and Mamie. Fond grandfather of Angela (Daniel), Christina (Tadas), Michael (Nicole),Joseph (Lindsey), Mark, Michelle, Anthony, Nicholas, Theresa (Josh) and Andie.Great grandfather of 5. Dear brother of Virginia the late Sam, Francis and Angelo. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews .Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 20th from 9:30 A.M. until time of the Funeral Mass 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary of Gostyn Church 445 Prairie Ave., Downers Grove, IL 60515 (630) 960-3565. Interment with Military Honors , St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park. Sal was involved in the funeral industry for over 50 years, as a chauffeur, driving flower cars, hearses and limousines. He also assisted many funeral home owners operate their business taking care of visitations and day to day operations. Always well dressed and very professional, he has impacted many seasoned, as well young funeral directors in their careers. Sal also was involved in sales with casket, funeral livery and burial vault companies. On the “street” he was known as” Sal May. “ He was a very loyal, dedicated and wonderful man and will be missed by all that loved him.
