Ruben N. Castillo, age 97. At peace on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. Beloved husband of the late Carmen Castillo nee Vasquez; loving father of Ruben and (Sylvia Mojica) Castillo; cherished grandfather of Francisca (Caleb) De Jong and Roberto Castillo; proud great grandfather of Agnes and Olivia De Jong; dear son of the late Francisco and Rosalia Castillo nee Nino; Ruben is preceded in death by his 4 older brothers; was the fond uncle, friend, and mentor to many.
You were the best husband, Dad, grandpa, and great grandpa and taught us so much. Your playfulness and sense of humor will be sorely missed but never forgotten. Rest in Peace with God. Te queremos mucho.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels at 8300 W. Lawrence Ave Norridge, IL 60706. Family and friends to meet on Wednesday, December 28th at St. Francis of Assisi church located at 813 W. Roosevelt Chicago, IL 60608 at 10:00 am for final viewing until the time of the Catholic Mass at 10:30 am. Interment to follow at Maryhill Catholic Cemetery.
