Rosendo C. Doliente

Rosendo C. “Sendo” Doliente, age 73, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

Sendo was born on January 4, 1953, in South Balioag, Pilar, Abra, Philippines, to the late Mariano Doliente and the late Carmen (nee Cabiao) Doliente.

He was the beloved husband of Vilma (nee Perez) for 33 wonderful years. Loving and devoted father of Kathleen (Marvin Catap) Doliente. Dear brother of Rodrigo (Alma) Doliente and the late Emidio (Lilia) Doliente. Fond uncle of Anthony and Roma Doliente. Cherished brother-in-law of Norman, Nestor, Dante, and Marjun Perez.

Sendo dedicated more than 30 years of faithful service to Greyhound Bus Lines. Known for his incredible work ethic and unwavering dedication, he took great pride in providing for his family and ensuring they were always cared for. His love for his family was the guiding force of his life.

Beyond his career, Sendo was a man of many talents and generous spirit. He loved reading books, listening to music and singing. He especially loved the oldies from the 50's and 60's. He also expressed his creativity through drawing. A master tailor by trade, he also devoted his time to teaching to the less fortunate in the Philippines, sharing both his skills and his compassion with others. His wonderful sense of humor, warm heart, and love of joking around brought joy to everyone who knew him.

Sendo’s kindness, generosity, and enduring love for his family will be remembered always. He will be deeply missed and forever cherished by all whose lives he touched.

Visitation for Sendo will take place on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Illinois. The funeral will take place on Thursday, beginning at funeral home at 9:00 am and then proceed to St. Eugene Church for 10:00 am Mass. Interment will follow at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, Illinois.
