Rosanna Monaco, 61, passed away on 6/11/2025 after a 10-year battle with a rare, neurological dementia disease, Corticobasal Degeneration.
Rosanna was born in Chicago on November 26,1963 where she built a community of lasting friendships alongside her family. Rosanna was a dedicated mother of three who always put her children first. Most of her younger years were spent at home focusing on her children who were extremely fortunate to have her be as engaged as she was. From chaperoning field trips, being part of the PTA, teaching CCD, making birthdays and holidays extra special, to getting them involved in a wide variety of their favorite activities (dance, cheer, swim, ice skating, and baseball), Rosanna was always giving her all. Not to mention all the summer days spent by the pool, which are some of the memories that will be cherished most. Rosanna loved spending time with her lifelong friends and large family. In later years, Rosanna worked hard as a single mom to build a life that she enjoyed. Becoming a grandmother was one of Rosanna’s greatest joys. She adored babysitting and bonding with her grandchildren. She loved dancing and music and will always be remembered for her fun spirit.
Rosanna will be lovingly remembered by her children, Gina (Christian) Sandoval, Elisa Monaco, and Vince Monaco. Her grandchildren, Liliana Larsh, Zion Sandoval and Vaeda Rose Sandoval. Her brothers Emilio (Angela) Barbieri and Mario (Nicole) Barbieri. As well as many cherished other family members and friends
Memorial visitation for Rosanna will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2025 from 12:30 pm until time of service at 3:30 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. 60706.
