Rosa "Rosita" Moreano (nee Cano) age 91, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on March 29, 2026. Rosita was the beloved wife of the late Cristobal "Chris" Moreano; loving mother of Rocio and Oswaldo Moreano, Monica (Kenneth) Brown, Luis, Ximena and Cristobal Jr. (Ana) Moreano and Elena (David) Canizares; dear daughter of the late Herlinda (nee Roman) and the late Manuel Cano Guevara; cherished abuelita of April, Melinda, Ryan, Ashley, Alex, Mike, Sarah, Haley, Celina, Israel, Chance, Nicholas, Daniel, Samuel, Matthew and Mark, and bisabuelita of Allison, Alyssa, Lola, Jason, C.J., Liam, Arlo, Clyde, Persephanie, Dyna, and great great grandmother of Bennett; dearest sister of the late Bertha, Laura, Mercedes, Luis, July and Jose Rafael, and she was a fond aunt of many.
Our Mother always taught us to be kind to others, and to help others in anyway we could . Our Mother was welcoming to all, and would make sure everyone was fed. She had a heart of Gold. Her faith in God was strong, and she prayed everyday for her family. She enjoyed listening to music and dancing. She was the glue that kept the family together. She loved receiving Roses (especially Roses from Ecuador)
Visitation Tuesday, April 7, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, at the funeral home, and then proceed to St. Cyprian Church in River Grove for Mass at 10:00 a.m. The interment will follow at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles.
