Ronald Kopeck

Ronald F. Kopeck, age 86, passed away peacefully on November 28, 2023. Ron was the beloved husband of Joanne, nee Spenner, for 58 wonderful years; loving father of Christopher (Maria) Kopeck, Karen (James) Manley, James (Jennifer) Kopeck, Gerald (Martha Kent) Kopeck, and Denise (Brett) Thunberg; dearest son of the late Frank Kopeck and the late Lillian Torgesen; cherished grandfather of Jessica, Jason and Rylee Thunberg, Carolyn and Rune Kent, and Arthur Kopeck; dearest brother of the late Arlene (the late Danny) Maczko and brother in law of Dianne and Arthur (the late Marilyn) Spenner; fond uncle of many. Ron was a dedicated letter carrier for the United States Postal Service for 32 years serving in the Norwood Park area of Chicago. He was also a member of the Hickory Hills Woodworking Club.

Visitation Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 9:30 am on Wednesday, at the funeral home, and will then proceed to St. Eugene Church (Queen of Peace Parish) 7958 W. Foster Ave., Chicago for Mass at 10:30 a.m. The interment will follow at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society.
