Ronald A. Curio, age 78, at rest on June 16, 2024.
Beloved husband of Judy Curio. Loving father of Jeff (Melissa) Curio, Joanna (Pete) Fernandez and Joe (Michelle) Curio. Beloved son of Ann (John) Asta and Angelo (Hilda) Curio. Proud Papa to Nicholas, Nathan, Vince, Adam, Amelia, Johnny and Joey. Dear brother of Diane (Gaynor) Kelley, Rosmarie (Dan) Bagnole and Sandy (Ed) Neri. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews.
With a heavy heart we bid farewell to the patriarch of our family. Ron held many titles in his life as he served time in the national guard, graduated from DePaul University, went on to be a project manager for IBM and a dedicated coach of countless neighborhood kids. In retirement he found new friends and new joy as he started a decade long second career with American Airlines. Ron enjoyed refereeing basketball and rolling the dice at the craps table. However, his absolute favorite thing in life was being a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Papa Ron loved nothing more than spending time with his adult children, taking their dogs for walks and being a super fan with his wife as they attended every single sporting event and activity that his grandchildren had. Ron’s work ethic, willingness to always help a friend, his sense of humor and love for his family has had a lasting impact on the lives he has touched.
