Roger L. Knecht, age 85, at rest on July 31, 2021. Roger was a veteran in the United States Army. Beloved husband of Charlet (nee Friesel). Loving father of Bryan, Kenneth (Sally), Sandra and Michael (Julie). Beloved son of the late Fredrick and the late Viola Knecht. Fond grandfather of Christie (Marty) Lenz, Amanda, Leah, Katelyn and John. Great grandfather of Hailey and Hannah. Dear brother of Marge (the late Harold) Nicodem, Jeanine (the late Richard) Jecha and the late Fred (the late Mildred) and the late Stanley (the late Grace) Knecht.. Fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Shriners Hospitals for Children https://www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org/chicago Visitation Wednesday August 4, 2021 from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 11:00 am until time of prayer service at 12:00 Noon at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. Interment with full Military Honors will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood Illinois at 2:30 p.m.
