Rocco D'Alessandro
October 31, 1930 — September 27, 2024
Rocco N. "Rocky" D'Alessandro, age 93, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2024. Rocco was the loving husband of Angela for 74 wonderful years; forever dad of Mary (Norm) Seamann, Rocco (Elizabeth Blanchard) D'Alessandro and Diane (the late John) Aiello; proud grandpa of Nicole (Scott) McCloud, Kristin (John) Kelly, Deana D'Alessandro, Amy Seamann and Brett Kurpiewski and great grandpa to Scottie and Mia Bella McCloud. He was preceded in death by 7 siblings, and was a fond uncle of many.
Rocky cherished his family above all else. His grandchildren and great grandchildren could do no wrong in his eyes. He proudly served in the US Army Reserves. His career took him from being a truck salesperson to owning his own travel agency to (his dream job) golf course ranger. Golf was his passion. On a good day, you’d find him on the golf course enjoying a cigar.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at stjude.org would be appreciated.
Visitation Wednesday, October 2, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. We will then proceed to Our Lady, Mother of the Church for Mass at 12:00 p.m., and the interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines. For more information call (708)456-8300
