Roberto Zavala, age 70, at rest suddenly on October 16, 2024, of Tampa Florida formerly of the norhtwest side of Chicago. Beloved husband of Gladys (nee Santana) for 51 years. Loving father of Roberto Daniel Zavala and Victor (Stephanie) Zavala. Cherished grandfather of Alina, Abby and Olivia. Loving son of the late Ramon and the late Carmen Zavala. Dearest brother of Raymond (Janet) Zavala. Fond uncle, cousin and friend to many. Roberto was retired as Chief of Patrol with the Chicago Police Department for 33 years. Visitation for Roberto will take place on Friday, November 1, 2024 from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. 60706. A second visitation will take place on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from 9:00 am until time of funeral service at 10:00 am at Armitage Baptist Church 2451 N Kedzie Blvd, Chicago, IL 60647. After the service, burial will take place at Acacia Park Cemetery 7800 Irving Park Rd, Chicago, Illinois 60634.
