Robert Vertnik

Robert Vertnik, age 81, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025. He was born in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Anton T. Vertnik and Bernice Dreshar. Bob is survived by his loving long time partner, Luz C. Alejandro; his daughters, Denise Schmidt (Martin) and Deana Owen (Kip); and his stepdaughters, Alice W. Hall and Irma Fitzpatrick. He cherished his grandchildren, Kip & Jill Owen, Freddie Rodas, Jessenia Luciano, Melvin & Marlon Hall, Felipe Lopez, and Jovanie Vega, as well as several great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy. Bob was known for his warmth, generosity, and the love he had for his family and friends. He will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to those he cared for and his kind spirit that touched all who knew him. Bob will be dearly missed, but his memory and legacy of love will live on through his family. Visitation and funeral details will be announced.
