Robert Thurber

Robert J. Thurber, Age 93, U.S. Navy WWII Veteran, passed away on March 20th surrounded by his loving family. Robert was the beloved husband of Therese M. nee Sulka for 67 wonderful years; loving father of Charlene (Michael) Widmaier, Duane (Susan) Thurber, Tim (Julie) Thurber, and Yvonne (Michael) Burke; fond grandfather of Valerie, Scott, Jessica, Laura, Melissa, Theresa, Todd, Lindsey and Bryan; dear brother of Geraldine Pelanek and Dorathy Nearyand a fond uncle of many. Visitation Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services will begin on Saturday at 9:00 a.m. ,at the funeral home, and will proceed to Our Lady Mother of the Church for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Maryhill Cemetery.
