Robert Ruggeri

Robert D. Ruggeri, 94, U.S. Air Force WWII Veteran; Beloved son of the late Louise and the late Anthony Ruggeri; Loving brother of Marie (Jack) Sievert and the late Anthony (the late Voneta) Ruggeri, Jr.; Dear uncle of Pam (Jack) Budrow, Deborah (Joel Rettig) Sievert, Voneta 'Mimi' (Stephen) Schorsch, Anthony (Carol) Ruggeri III, Jack (Kathleen) Sievert, Tom (Luann), Chris (Virginia) and Robert (the late Diana) Ruggeri; Great uncle to many. Robert was a former head usher for St. William Parish. He piloted a B-17 in the 20th Bomb Squadron of the 2nd Bombardment Group in the 15th Air Force based at Foggia Italy and later was a longtime member of the American Legion and VFW. Visitation will be Sunday April 2nd from 2:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Funeral service begins Monday at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home proceeding to St. William Church for 10:00 a.m. Mass. Entombment to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
