Robert Rakitan

Robert William Rakitan, Phd, passed away on December 13, 2018 at the age of 79. Beloved husband of the late Alice Rakitan nee Svoboda; beloved son of the late John and Mary Rakitan nee Schoditsch; dear brother of Lois (Art) Hammar, John (Doris) Rakitan, and Gail Steel; fond uncle of Cheryl (Kevin) Brunk, Lori (Ernie) Sapigao, Jonathan (Jennifer) Hammar, Timothy Rakitan, John T. Rakitan, William (Mary Ann) Rowe. Robert was a 1957 graduate of Lane Tech High School, received Bachelors and Masters degrees from University of Illinois and EdD from Northwestern University, taught biological sciences at Wright College, was a registered Pharmacist, and was a member of the Gottlieb Center for Fitness.
