Robert Paredes

Robert R. Paredes, age 85, Korean era veteran of the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2021. Robert was the beloved husband of the late Michelle, nee Preston; loving father of Retired U.S. Army Sgt. Edwin L. Wollen and Jason Preston; dear son of the late Maria and Lorenzo Paredes; grandfather of Edward (Samantha) Kroger; dearest brother of Alice (the late Anthony) Kamenjaren and the late Edward, Lorenzo, Jr., Bertha Carroll, Lillian Castillo, Rudy, Freddy, Richie and Manuel; fond uncle of many. Visitation Wednesday, August 11, 2021, from 2:00 p.m. until we conclude with 6:00 p.m. military honors at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge, IL. Funeral services begin at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, at the funeral home, and then proceed to St. William Church in Chicago for Mass at 10:00 a.m. The interment will be private at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL.
