Robert E Lindsay, 92, of Arlington Heights, IL, Mesa AZ, and Chicago IL. Married over 70 yrs to his beloved wife Betty J. nee Bagger, loving son of the late Frona Katz. Devoted father of Karen (the late Jim) Baron, Candy (Larry) Martin, Gwen (Bill) Sheehan, Holly (Joe) Cheslak, Robin (Bruce) Hovlid. Loving Grandfather of Jen (Jerry) Pish, Douglas (Karen) Baron, Chris (Lori) Martin, Jeff (Erica) Martin, Amy (Hank) Tellock, Jack Sheehan, Erin (Dan) Bergman, Dan (Kristen) Sheehan, Joseph (Beatrice) Cheslak, Jason (Winnie) Cheslak, Rachel (Travis) Riordon, Emily (Sgt. Dan) Tutell, Kevin (Shawna Hovlid), Shawn (Katelynn) Hovlid. Proud Great Grandpa of 20 and loving companion of the family dog, Maggie. Robert was a WWII Veteran with the Navy Seabees, a retired Sheet Metal Worker Local 115/73., an avid Square Dancer, a former active member of Danish American Athletic Club and of Irving Park Lutheran Church in Chicago. He lived and attended school at Allendale School for Boys, Lake Villa. Visitation will be Thursday August 17th from 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Family and friends will meet Friday at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Mt. Prospect for 11:00 a.m. funeral service. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
