Robert Harris

Robert  A. Harris, age 82, passed peacefully at home in Salem Wisconsin. Bob was born on February 12, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to the late George and the late Patricia Harris. Beloved husband of Phyllis (nee Holmes). Loving father of Anthony Harris, Tanya (Joe) Carco and Natasha (Bob) Brubaker. Cherished grandfather of Nicole (Paul) Silva, Christina (Joey) Bizcarrondo, Rachel (Jon) Casamajor, Joey Carco (Chloe Fuller), Claire Brubaker and Luke Brubaker. Great grandfather of Vinny, Giovanni, Shane and Mia. Dear brother of the late George Harris. Loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. Bob was the best brother-in-law and loved friend to many.

Bob was born and raised in Chicago then joined the Marines. He was stationed in Hawaii where he met and married the love of his life. They started their family in California  until they settled back in Chicago where he took over the family trucking business.  He remained in Chicago raising  his family and continued working at  South Water Market  until retirement .

Bob and Phyllis moved  to his childhood lake house in Wisconsin where he enjoyed watching sunsets and spending time with his family

Bob was always a proud Marine, semper fi.

Bob loved to travel with Phyllis all over the world. They enjoyed taking their grandkids on trips. He loved beer and the Bears , but most of all he loved his family . He will always be “PAPA”

Visitation for Bob will take place on Thursday, August 14, 2025 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Cumberland Chapels 8300 W. Lawrence Ave. Norridge, Il. Funeral Friday, Beginning at the funeral home at 9:00 am and then proceed to Saint Juliana Catholic Church in Chicago for 10:00 am Mass. Interment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove.
