Robert Gelfond

Robert W. Gelfond, age 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family. Bob will be remembered as so full of life, he was always making a joke or telling a story. He attended Notre Dame, was a Fightin’ Irish football fan and enjoyed wines from his favorite Napa and Sonoma vineyards. He had a passion for gardening, reading, and the stock market. Bob was a lifelong Chicago resident who loved life and his family. The son of the late Harry and Florence Gelfond, he is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Patricia, nee Settanni, his much loved children Elizabeth (Joseph) Lynch, Kathleen Regalado, and Robert G. (Lisa) Gelfond. The pride and joy of his life was his three grandchildren, Janis, Timothy, and Michelle. Our Papa was always teaching us with his knowledge, he is extremely loved and will be deeply missed. Visitation Monday, August 20 from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W.
