Robert Burns

Robert P. Burns Jr., age 71, long time resident of Chicago passed away on January 1, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Robert was the beloved husband of Linda J., nee Williams, for 47 wonderful years; loving father of Brian C. Burns, Jaime L. (Adam) Doud, Erin M. and Christopher W. (Mary Cable) Burns; dearest son of the late June and Robert Burns Sr., cherished grandfather of Kyle and Kaitlyn Doud; dear brother of Terry (Kim), Pat, Mark and Scott (Peggy) Burns; fond uncle of Kelly, Jack, Joe, Grace and Pete Burns. Robert was a lifelong Scout and became Scoutmaster of Troop #6 with the Boy Scouts of America. He was a member of the Order of the Arrow, and Deputy Assessor with the Cook County Assessor's Office for over 25 years. In lieu of flowers, donations to The Boy Scout Troop #999 c/o St. James Lutheran Church, 7400 W. Foster, Chicago, IL 60656 would be appreciated.
